ELSENDORP – A new look for MKG Koeriers. The corporate identity of the Elsendorp company has been refreshed. This makes MKG even more eye-catching.
MKG Koeriers can be found everywhere. The courier and express transporter is on the road 24 hours a day at home and abroad. Just like the yellow-blue of the ANWB, MKG's red-and-white commercial vehicles are a familiar sight in traffic. Thanks to updated lettering, they now stand out even more. Director Joan Minten: "MKG Koeriers celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2018. That was a good moment to make the corporate style more contemporary. We have been a strong brand for years. The new logo exudes that. It is striking and distinctive. You can now see MKG on the sides from afar"
The new house style is being implemented step by step. The fleet of MKG Koeriers consists of 75 vehicles. All vans, buses and trucks are (or have been) re-lettered. The company clothing, merchandise articles and the website are also getting a new look. The conversion started in December and is expected to be completed in April.
In the meantime, the work continues as usual. For many companies in the Southeast Netherlands, MKG Koeriers is an indispensable link in the logistics process. The customer base is diverse: from multinationals to freelancers. MKG specialises in the transportation of conditioned medicines. "Pharma is at number one, followed by automotive, machinery, fresh produce and building materials. But we also transport hospital beds, door-to-door newspapers and high-value products such as computers and telephones. In addition, we are always looking for returns and combination shipments with less of a rush that we can plan flexibly. Due to the favourable rates, this can be an interesting option for many companies."
Recently, the transport of blood products has been added. "These are transported from the blood bank to hospitals in the region by order of Sanquin - and often with great urgency. As a result, the employee file has been expanded by twenty people.”
At MKG Koeriers, there are around 100 people on the payroll. The company's turnover increased significantly in the past year. In order to be able to meet the growing demand, a new warehouse was moved into and the total business area was expanded to 13,000 square metres.
MKG is based in Elsendorp: “At just a fifteen-minute drive from the A50, A77 and A73, it is the ideal base. 90% of our customers are located within a 50-kilometre radius of our company. We can serve them directly.”
MKG Koeriers combines speed with efficiency: "Whether it is an important document or a twenty-tonne load: we transport it. Our employees and vehicles can be deployed flexibly. We have our own garage with two mechanics, a car wash, a diesel pump and a large storage and transhipment area" MKG is available 24 hours a day and has fully automated the planning. "This enables us to respond quickly and deliver tailor-made solutions."
Reliability is of paramount importance at MKG Koeriers. "That's why we mainly work with experienced people: people who know how to take action, keep a cool head and have a sense of responsibility.
