ELSENDORP – A new look for MKG Couriers. The corporate identity of the Elsendorp company has been refreshed. This makes MKG even more eye-catching.
MKG Couriers are everywhere. The courier and express transporter is on the road 24 hours a day at home and abroad. Just like the yellow-blue of the ANWB, the red-white commercial vehicles of MKG are a familiar appearance in traffic. Thanks to adapted lettering, they now stand out even more. Director Joan Minten: "MKG Koeriers existed for thirty years in 2018. That was a great moment to make the corporate identity more contemporary. We have been a strong brand for years. The new logo radiates that. It is striking and distinctive. You can now see MKG on the flanks from afar."
The new corporate identity is being implemented step by step. The MKG Koeriers fleet consists of 75 vehicles. All vans, buses and trucks are (or have been) re-lettered. The company clothing, merchandise items and the website will also get a new look. The conversion operation started in December and is expected to be completed in April.
In the meantime, work continues as usual. For many companies in the South-East of the Netherlands, MKG Koeriers is an indispensable link in the logistics process. The customer base is diverse: from multinationals to self-employed people. MKG specializes in conditioned medicine transport. "Pharma is number one, followed by automotive, machinery, fresh products and building materials. But we also transport hospital beds, door-to-door newspapers and high-value products such as computers and telephones. In addition, we are always looking for return freight and combination shipments with less urgency that we can plan flexibly. Due to the favorable rates, this can be an interesting option for many companies."
The transport of blood products has recently been added. "They are transported from the blood bank to hospitals in the region on behalf of Sanquin - and often with great haste. As a result, the employee base has been expanded by twenty people."
MKG Koeriers has approximately 100 people on the payroll. The company's turnover has increased significantly in the past year. To meet the growing demand, a new warehouse has been moved and the total business area has been expanded to 13,000 square meters.
MKG is located in Elsendorp: "A fifteen-minute drive from the A50, A77 and A73, this is the ideal base. 90% of our customers are within a radius of 50 kilometers around our company. We can serve them directly."
MKG Koeriers links speed to efficiency: "Whether it concerns an important document or a load of twenty tons: we transport it. Our employees and vehicles can be deployed flexibly. We have our own garage with two mechanics, a car wash, a diesel pump and a large storage and transhipment area." MKG is available 24 hours a day and has fully automated the planning. “This allows us to switch quickly and deliver customized solutions.”
Reliability is of paramount importance to MKG Couriers. “That is why we mainly work with experienced people: people who know how to tackle things, keep a cool head and have a sense of responsibility.
